Arctic Marine Tourism: Shipping analysis and Best Practices Guidelines

The project Arctic Marine Tourism: Shipping analysis and best practices Guidelines will seek to build on existing knowledge and experience in the rapidly growing sector of marine tourism. It is so far the only project aiming at marine tourism within the Arctic Council.

The project will include two work packages (phases) where the first will focus on providing a status report on marine tourism and another on best practices for the industry and other stakeholders.

This project will follow up on recommendations contained in the Arctic Marine Tourism Project: Best Practice Guidelines (AMTP 2015) and has similar aims as the Arctic Shipping Best Practice Information Forum, previously supported by the Nordic Arctic cooperation program and is a priority project during the Icelandic Chairmanship year in Arctic Council.
