Desktop Study on Marine Litter including Microplastics in the Arctic

This project addresses what can be done at the local and regional level to stop the destruction of the Arctic region´s environment, nature and seas through focusing on the role of marine litter and especially micro-plasma.

The work includes a desktop study on available knowledge in the field for PAME to mobilize and enhance knowledge within the Arctic sphere. The assessment of marine litter in the Arctic will be an important activity to provide a better picture of the scale of Arctic Marine litter and to enhance knowledge in this field.

This project is a continuation of the previous Nordic Arctic programme period.
