Nordic roots of Arctic Cooperation

The project covers University of the Arctic activities during the UArctic Congress 2018, an event part of the Finnish chairmanship of the Arctic Council.

The aim is to promote Nordic cooperation as a model for Arctic cooperation through elements in the Congress program, such as the Arctic Council Permanent Participants panel on the needs of indigenous peoples in education, research and training, and the Arctic Ambassador panel on Arctic science diplomacy. Within this project, we provide opportunities for dialogue, create informative content, enhance networking, and emphasize the collaborative power that the Nordic and Arctic region collectively have.
