The island of Vinön seeks to establish a solar park. The hometown association Hembygdsföreningen has received a grant from “LEADER – Mellansjölandet” to develop collaboration on a solar park for the island.

The information has been spread among the inhabitants and meetings have been held on the island to inform about an idea of ​​a solar park.

When the feasibility study was completed, the idea was that there should be a clear picture of how a common solar cell park could work and contribute to Vinön's development. For this to be a realistic alternative, islanders have to be convinced and therefore great emphasis has been put on cooperation and information sharing.
