Global5G.org is a Coordination and Support Action within Europe’s 5G public and private partnership (5G PPP) that is working on both fronts through its focus on vertical industries and small cell deployments

The 5G Infrastructure Public Private Partnership (5G PPP) is a joint initiative between the European Commission and European ICT industry (ICT manufacturers, telecommunications operators, service providers, SMEs and researcher Institutions)

The European 5G observatory examines issues including 5G coverage; spectrum awards; adoption by new vertical industries like factories and agriculture; and public policies to stimulate 5G’s growth. This website monitors the 5G market, assessing progress towards EU policy goals such as the 5G Action Plan, the 5G Security Toolbox and the Digital Decade. It is funded by the European Commission and from August 2021 has been produced by a consortium of three companies VVA, PolicyTracker and LS Telcom. The main focus is 5G in Europe, major international markets like the USA, Japan, China and South Korea are also examined. The European 5G scoreboard presents national indicators related to the rollout of 5G. And every quarter, a detailed report analysing recent developments is produced.

ITU DataHub is the world’s richest source of ICT statistics and regulatory information. Track the digital transformation with the ITU DataHub, featuring hundreds of ICT indicators on connectivity, markets, affordability, trust governance, and sustainability. Find, compare, and download data for nearly 200 economies.

The European Commission monitors indicators of digital public services in the EU to ensure citizens and governments are enjoying the full potential of this technology. They also produce the country reports (not for Norway or Iceland).
