More attractive Hjørring in Denmark

Hjørring is a Danish municipality in northern Denmark. It is home to some 65,000 people. Its geographical location provides many both opportunities and challenges.

The hardships that Hjørring faces today are a reduction in population, especially younger people, along with changes in the labour market. It means that there are less employment in more traditional industries of agriculture, fishery and other industrial activities.

The municipality has taken some initiatives to try and tackle these trends, making the region more attractive in the hope of attracting people to move there.
