The European 5G observatory examines issues including 5G coverage; spectrum awards; adoption by new vertical industries like factories and agriculture; and public policies to stimulate 5G’s growth. This website monitors the 5G market, assessing progress towards EU policy goals such as the 5G Action Plan, the 5G Security Toolbox and the Digital Decade. It is funded by the European Commission and from August 2021 has been produced by a consortium of three companies VVA, PolicyTracker and LS Telcom. The main focus is 5G in Europe, major international markets like the USA, Japan, China and South Korea are also examined. The European 5G scoreboard presents national indicators related to the rollout of 5G. And every quarter, a detailed report analysing recent developments is produced.
